Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit, search, and use of the website's content. Continuing to use the site confirms acceptance. If you disagree with any condition, do not use the website.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website is not affiliated with Danbury, Connecticut, or any government body. Neither it nor its advertising partners provides a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Its purpose is to identify Danbury criminal-record resources. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site operates independently from government. It does not store official records, retrieve them, perform official checks, or submit documents for a visitor.

It identifies the Danbury Police Records & Property Division, Connecticut Superior Court, SPBI, DOC, and the Connecticut Sex Offender Registry as distinct official sources, while also displaying outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of the website is conditioned on avoiding the following conduct:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No person may use this website or a linked tool to harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or unlawfully discriminate. Connecticut registry law adds a direct warning: CGS §54-258a subjects a person to criminal prosecution for using Connecticut Sex Offender Registry information to injure, harass, or commit a criminal act against a listed person or anyone else. Registry data supports safety awareness, not vigilantism or blacklisting.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and produce no credit report, background check, or consumer report. Our advertising partners are not presented as providers for evaluating applicants, insurance risk, or credit. Data from this website or a linked tool must not be used to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A regulated use requires an appropriate official process or a screening provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

Website content is not legal advice. General Danbury record information cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, erasure, or sealing rule applies to a particular person. Consult a Connecticut-licensed attorney for legal advice.

6. No Warranties

All content and services are offered "as is," without a promise that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Charges, dismissals, sealing orders, and Connecticut erasures can change record status. Updates may lag, and no website content is an official statement by Danbury Police, a court, or a state agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to police, courts, Connecticut agencies, legal-aid organizations, and outside search providers. We do not control a destination's content, availability, prices, or data practices and accept no responsibility for them. Review its terms before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Danbury Criminal History or its content partners own the website's text, graphics, logos, and code. Written permission is required to copy, distribute, alter, or create derivative work from that material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from use of the website, its information, or a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, or proceedings caused by your website use or breach of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

Connecticut law governs these terms. Any dispute related to website use must be brought in a court located in Connecticut.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A revision takes effect when the updated text is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or terminated at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue. The affected language will be modified only as far as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these terms may be submitted through the Contact page.
